While taking an evening walk with my family downstairs in the neighborhood, we saw a paralyzed kitten dragging its crippled body, struggling to chase after passersby. Some people turned a blind eye, while others stopped to give it some food.
Asking the kind person who fed it, we suspected the little fellow might have fallen from a building; its owner perhaps upstairs, yet the cat had been roaming downstairs for days, with no one taking it to the vet. When that kitten saw me, it seemed to have found its last hope, crawling towards me with great difficulty. I could feel its eyes full of longing and helplessness.
